MISSION OF KOHALA COMMUNITY LAND TRUST

Provide permanently affordable rental and for-sale housing for Kohala residents

Preserve existing housing stock by assisting current Kohala homeowners to retain homes for future generations

Support jobs for Kohala residents by acquiring commercial spaces and agricultural land and offering affordable leases to Kohala-grown businesses.

Protect the ʻāina and the diverse cultures and rural character of Kohala.

KCLT is a membership organization

KCLT voting membership is open to all North Kohala full-time residents above the age of 18. (Non-residents are invited to join as supporters)

Resident members and KCLT resident lessees (homeowners) elect the Board of Directors.

Decisions are made by members of the Kohala community, not by an outside Board.
